Start the journey to become your whole powerful self.
Specific Issues I Support
I offer experienced, supportive, thoughtful, body-centered therapeutic coaching for people experiencing:
life transitions such as marriage/partnering, divorce, empty nesting, caregiving, retirement
job challenges such as a new role, work/life balance, dissatisfaction
loss and grief
health challenges such as caregiving, illness, end-of-life issues, perimenopause
perfectionism
a sense of “stuckness” or feeling unsettled
a desire for a strategic accountability partner
coach or executive leader seeking the development of coaching skills
I aim to create a warm and affirming therapeutic space where you can be your whole self. Through my work over the last 25 years, I’ve been struck by how courageous people are. Even in the face of terrible obstacles and deep pain, a light shines out inviting us to reach for healing, spaciousness, clarity, and nourishment. In our time together we’ll create a space for your innate intelligence. We’ll cultivate your intuition and body wisdom. We’ll make space for that light while witnessing the challenges. I’ll provide tools and guidance to aid your process and to help you navigate the challenges of your history and the change you are experiencing.
My passion is working with people so that they can be their whole selves in the world. We all have the innate ability to heal ourselves from life’s injuries. Others, or the culture we live in, can cause us injury that may keep us from creating the life we want. The collaborative process of therapeutic coaching creates a compassionate container where you can tell your story, learn new strategies, and transform.
Who I am
My passion is working with people to access more of themselves, build trust in their instincts, and reclaim all their parts. In 1996, I earned my master’s degree at Lesley University in Expressive Arts Therapies with a concentration in Art Therapy. I built a solid foundation in therapeutic skills by working with adults and children in hospitals, day treatment centers, and schools for over ten years. After a break to raise my young family, I began working in the higher education space as an executive coach coaching working adults through college and to pursue their career goals. In 2013, I began leading high-performing coaching teams and eventually began developing and leading our executive coaches who work with leaders across the higher education space. Over time, I developed an embodied leadership approach where people create transformation by aligning their values with a felt sense of leadership. I work with people to retain a sense of embodiment of their values while navigating difficult and ambiguous situations.
Expertise
I believe that ongoing education and learning are critical to an ethical, impactful practice. My approach combines neuroscience, mindfulness, and psychological theories informed by trauma studies, anti-racism work, depth psychology, non-violent communication, and strength-based coaching models.
